Two New Shows for 2024!

We're delighted to announce two new shows coming to the SJT in February, including the new play from John Godber.

John's Do I Love You? will be at the SJT 7 - 10 Feb. It follows the story of three twenty-somethings as they discover a love for Northern Soul, as well as the people involved in it.

What started as a College project has grown into a passion, but the dance steps are exhausting! Far beyond their home city of Hull, Sally, Nat and Kyle find excitement, purpose and the tribe they’ve been looking for - and now they can’t get enough! From Brid Spa to Stoke, from Scarborough to the Tower Ballroom, our young soulies are determined to keep the faith. 

This is Northern Soul for a new generation, but with rising costs, unemployment, and small town blues, has anything really changed? Is this England 1973 or 2023? The pubs are closing, hospitality has gone, and strikes are everywhere; but when you’re out on the floor…

Rock Rising (Feb 24). Rock Rising is a high-octane classic rock show, designed to take you on an edge-of-your-seat journey through the evolution of classic rock.

Showcasing a 7-piece band taking incredible musicianship and stagecraft to a different level, it features rock anthems from Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Journey, Foreigner, Toto, Thin Lizzy and many more multi-platinum selling artists from the last four decades.

Get ready for timeless classic songs and huge hits, all painstakingly recreated and encapsulated in a stunning custom designed light and pyrotechnic show.
