National Theatre Live: New Screenings!
06/08/2025
We're showing the latest National Theatre Live screenings – amazing stage productions filmed in London’s West End and brought straight to the big screen.
We're delighted to be announcing five new touring shows for 2025/6, including an evening showcasing two remarkable one act plays from the personal archive of Stephen Joseph, John Godber's Teechers, and the return of Blackeyed Theatre with a new Sherlock Holmes adventure, adapted for stage and directed by Nick Lane.
Noises Off is one of the world’s most performed comedies, but as far as we’re aware, this is the first time it’s been presented in the round. As you can imagine, this brought some very particular challenges for designer Kevin Jenkins!
At the end of January 2026 we'll be renumbering the seats in The Round. We're moving to a more intuitive numbering system so it's easier for audiences to find the seats they've booked.
We caught up with award-winning playwright Kate Hamill to talk about her adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice - here in Scarborough from 3-26 July -, her love of Austen's work, and the motivational benefits of betting on a first draft!
The Royal Ballet and Opera Cinema Season 25-26 includes popular classics and highly-anticipated new productions. With an international roster of opera and ballet stars, it promises to be a fantastic experience for fans of opera and ballet alike.
We know, we know - you're spoiled for choice! We've got another eight amazing autumn shows for you to choose from, including our much-loved Christmas show for under 6s, an evening with a cricketing legend, and the return of our friends from Townsend Productions.
Our exclusive monthly Moviedrome screenings in the Mac bring you the chance to discover - or rediscover! - a choice cut of cinema that's cult, classic or somewhere in-between. The films are hand-picked by our resident film buff George Cromack, who introduces each screening.
Our monthly dementia-friendly film screenings are fun and social events for people living with dementia and their friends, family and carers.
From sleepy bedtime adventures to edge-of-your-seat theatre, we've got some gorgeous autumn treats lined up for you!
Theatre maker Daniel Bye answers some questions about his new show Imaginary Friends, covering everything from Piers Morgan to the Papal Conclave and being back on stage solo after seven years...
You might recognise Nick Lane's name as the writer behind our madcap Christmas shows and adaptations of The Comedy of Errors (more or less) and Love's Labour's Lost (more or less). Now he's turned his pen to Dracula, so we caught up with him to chat about the process of adapting and directing the gothic classic ahead of it swooping (sorry!) our way from 1-3 May.
