We caught up with award-winning playwright Kate Hamill to talk about her adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice - here in Scarborough from 3-26 July -, her love of Austen's work, and the motivational benefits of betting on a first draft!

Now he's turned his pen to Dracula, so we caught up with him to chat about the process of adapting and directing the gothic classic ahead of it swooping (sorry!) our way from 1-3 May.
Scarborough Fringe at the SJT!

We're delighted to be part of this year's second ever Scarborough Fringe! Part of Scarborough Fair, it's all about showcasing incredible cultural experiences in different venues across the town between Fri 13 and Sun 22 June.
We chatted with theatre maker Nathaniel J Hall (First Time, It's a Sin) about his 'hilarious and heartbreaking' new show Toxic, touring to the SJT for one night only on April 24.
We're delighted to announce the following touring work coming to the SJT this autumn, from the new show from comedian Mark Thomas and writer Ed Edwards, to the return of Apollo Productions with comedy classic Round the Horne.
Tickets go on sale to SJT Circle members from 10am on Wednesday 26 March and on general sale from 10am on Wednesday 2 April.
