Actors, Audiences & Ayckbourn
Grab your diaries for our next fundraising weekend, featuring a reading of a brand new play by Alan Ayckbourn, an evening with Alan's Archivist, and a host of regular Ayckbourn collaborators discussing what makes starring in an Ayckbourn play so special.
Alongside Alan Ayckbourn's 91st play Earth Angel, we're hosting a series of fundraising events for the SJT.
The fundraising weekend, Actors, Audiences & Ayckbourn (26-28 September 2025), will include a rehearsed reading of a never-before-heard play: Men, Meals & Me. The reading is yet to be cast, but expect to see a few familiar faces.
The Friday evening event, It's All Relative, will be split into two halves. The first half will see Alan's Archivist Simon Murgatroyd reflect on one of the playwright's best known works Relatively Speaking on its 60th anniversary and the second half will see a host of the renowned writer’s favourite actors telling tales of starring in Ayckbourn plays over the last 65 years.
