Our weekly Youth Theatre sessions are a great way to make new friends, develop your knowledge and interest in the performing arts, and learn new creative and life skills.

If you're interested in joining our Youth Theatre at the start of next term, drop us a line on [email protected] to see if there are places available.
Each group works on a range of skills and subjects, using theatre to tell stories, share ideas, and change the world. All Youth Theatre members also receive a number of free tickets to see work at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, as well as a discount code to bring a friend.
Youth Theatre members get to audition for the annual Youth Theatre Production, presented in the McCarthy Studio, and all participants get to perform in our annual Youth Festival presented in the round at the SJT.
Sessions:
Sessions will run throughout school term time.
Group 1: Age 11 - 13 | Tuesdays 5 - 6.30pm
Group 2: Age 13 - 15 | Tuesdays 7 - 8.45pm
Group 3: Age 15 - 18 | Wednesdays 6.30 - 9pm
There is a reduced fee available for people experiencing financial difficulty.
Summer term for Groups 1 & 2: Tue 9 Apr - Tue 16 Jul (no session Tue 28 May)
Summer term for Group 3: Wed 10 April - Wed 17 July (no session Wed 29 May)

Re-sales & exchanges: We must have the ticket at the Box Office in order to perform a re-sale or exchange. We regret we cannot refund money but four or more days prior to the performance we will exchange it for an alternative performance, within three days of the performance we will attempt to re-sell the ticket on your behalf. Both services are subject to a charge of £1.50 per ticket. Latecomers: Anyone arriving once the performance has begun will not be admitted until a suitable break which, on occasion, may be the interval. Content: Where possible we do indicate if strong language and/or adult content is used. Customers are advised to contact the Box Office with any concerns before booking tickets. Please note: the re-sale of tickets is prohibited.
