More New Touring Shows for 2025
And they just keep coming! 2025's already shaping up to be an absolute cracker with five more new touring shows to shout about, including theatre, live music and comedy.
Tickets go on sale to SJT Circle members from 10am on Wednesday 23 October and on general sale from 10am on Wednesday 30 October.
Last Rites - 8 February
An ending. A beginning. A goodbye.
One man has twenty-four hours to perform his father’s funeral rites. This intimate, final ceremony brings to life a rich tapestry of shared memories and a complex relationship cut short by death. A powerful journey of love, loss, and what it means to be a parent from award-winning theatre company Ad Infinitum.
Miles Jupp: On I Bang - 17 February
Since Miles’ last tour finished at The London Palladium in 2017, he’s been in The Full Monty on Disney Plus, The Durrells and Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? on ITV, as well as a heap of episodes of Frankie Boyle’s New World Order and Have I Got News For You.
He’s made an award-winning radio series and he’s published a novel. But for Covid, he would have played a lead at the RSC. Hey ho. Nevertheless he’s done a play in the West End and played the Emperor of Austria and Europe in a Ridley Scott film.
Yet one sunny day in the middle of all this, he suddenly suffered a brain seizure. This led to the discovery of a tumour the size of a cherry tomato, and a rather pressing need to undergo major neurosurgery.
Obviously, one doesn’t wish to make a big deal of it, but the experience has left him with a story to tell and a few things that he’d like to share with the room. So that’s exactly what he’s doing in On I Bang – a tale about surprise, fear, luck, love and qualified medical practitioners.
Lonnie Donegan - The Stories - 17 May
Presented by Lonnie Donegan's sons, Anthony and Peter Donegan
“We consider this ‘pay-back’ for all the stories he used to tell about us!” - Peter Donegan
Songs, stories and anecdotes from the life and times of a true British music legend.
Award winning songwriter and star of The Voice UK Peter Donegan and his older brother Anthony present a fantastic evening of Lonnie’s songs and stories about their legendary father - ‘The King of Skiffle’, Lonnie Donegan.
This is a unique, ‘behind-the-scenes’ glimpse into life growing up with a musical legend as a father; expect huge laughs, singing, and lots of foot-stomping fun!
Closure? - 6 June
Do you have questions after a breakup that were left unanswered? Well Lydia did, so she sent a questionnaire to all her ex-partners and made a show out of it.
Closure? is a one act comedy performance following Lydia De La Murrãy on her journey of self-discovery through analysing all her past relationships…in great detail. If you like statistics, interpretive dance and Daniel Bedingfield then you’ll love this show. Audiences will leave laughing, deciding if Lydia has actually gained closure with some noughties classics stuck firmly in their heads.
The Carpenters Experience - 7 June
The UK's leading Carpenters show, featuring the amazing voice of Maggie Nestor and eight top-class musicians, captures the sights and sounds of the amazing talents of Richard and Karen Carpenter.
Karen’s silky contralto is combined with Richard’s piano and seamless harmonies in this big production that brings Close to You, We've only Just Begun, Top of the World, Rainy Days and Mondays, Solitaire, Goodbye to Love, Please Mr Postman, For All We Know, Only Yesterday and dozens more classic songs to the stage.
With a full live band, including brass and piano, the pair deliver seamless harmonies to recreate the experience fans would have had seeing the Carpenters live throughout the 1970s.
Tickets go on sale to SJT Circle members from 10am on Wednesday 23 October and on general sale from 10am on Wednesday 30 October. To find out more about becoming a Circle member from just £3.33 a month, head here.
