Hello local actors - we'd like to meet you!

Do we know you yet? And if not, why not?

We're holding local auditions to get to know more actors aged 18+ in Scarborough and York. This isn't for a specific show, it’s just for us to meet some local actors we don’t know - yet! - so we can bear you in mind for future opportunities.  

We're particularly keen to meet locally-based actors, so we’re hosting two audition dates: 

•  16 April - York

•  17 April – Scarborough

The audition panel will be: 

• SJT Artistic Director, Paul Robinson  (Scarborough & York)  

• Associate Director, Chantell Walker  (Scarborough & York)  

• Head of Creative Engagement, Rob Salmon (Scarborough)  

• Casting Director, Annelie Powell (Scarborough & York) 

If you'd like to apply for an audition slot, please email Associate Director Chantell Walker by Fri 20 March at [email protected] with your Spotlight link or CV and headshot. 

You must live within a 25-mile radius of Scarborough for the Scarborough auditions and a 10-mile radius of York for the York auditions.  

You'll need to prepare a 1.5-minute monologue. If you're a singer too, please prepare a short (less than 2 mins) song and feel free to use a backing track.

Unfortunately, as slots are limited, we can't guarantee an audition to everyone.
