Got space to rent?
We're urgently looking for rooms, houses, apartments and bedsits for our cast members for both our summer productions - can you help?
The sun's out, summer's nearly here, and we're really looking forward to our summer programme with actors and creatives arriving for our produced shows Calendar Girls The Musical and Handbagged.
We're keen to provide our actors with the best Scarborough experience. We've already put together a welcome pack which directs those new to the town towards café’s, restaurants and coffee haunts, but our ever-popular Digs list - which provides accommodation to all of these staying for rehearsal and performance weeks - is running a bit thin.
With no free spaces in all of our advertised spaces, before we get into the swing of the season, can you help?
We're urgently looking for rooms, houses, apartments and bedsits for our cast members for both our summer productions, as well as those who want to be included in our Digs List across autumn and winter too.
For both shared and independent spaces, we're looking for warm, safe accommodation with:
Wifi
Access to the kitchen – with space in a cupboard and fridge
Access to the bathroom
Own bedroom – with a no-through access.
Under equity agreements actors receive around £200 a week for subsistence, so accommodation rates must reflect that.
Anyone offering a room in a shared house must also be aware of actor's schedules; during rehearsal periods they'll be out during the day and in at night. During performances this flips, with SJT performances starting at 7.30pm.
Handbagged rehearsals start on Monday 29 June.
If you or anyone you know has a space available, please complete the proforma and we'll be in touch!
