Brassed Off: Youth Cast

We’re looking to cast six young people in this summer’s production of Brassed Off.

The young people will play the characters of Craig and Melody Ormondroyd. Craig and Melody are often seen fighting and messing around – they are bundles of energy in a busy household that is under pressure. Their Mum Sandra looks after them at home whilst their Dad, Phil, works down the pit. They haven’t any money, Mum is stressed out and often arguing with Dad. Despite the pressures, it’s clear there is a lot of love in this household.

We are interested in meeting children aged 9 -11 years old with a playing age (meaning the age they must be believable as) of 5-7 years old.

The play is set in Yorkshire, so we are looking for young people with a northern accent.
