Welcome

Totally Over You

Kitty, Roch Hannah and Sinita dream of being famous. So what they gonna do? Well... get rid of the ‘boyfriends’! They’re only holding them back. When the boys catch wind of this they hatch their own plan on how to get their wannabe exes back.

The Stephen Joseph Youth Theatre presents a modern love story full of betrayal, deceit and a bit of boy band action!

Totally Over You is influenced by Moliere’s Les Precieuses Ridicules.

Two Gentlemen of Verona

Bristol’s nationally renowned company makes its first visit to the SJT with this darkly comic romance in which friendship and love, and loyalty and betrayal are the real players.

In Two Gentlemen of Verona, Shakespeare’s vision is comic, shocking and extraordinarily modern.

Two lifelong friends are parted first by circumstance, then by rivalry in love. Can their loyalty to each other survive the test, or will new loyalties drive out the old?

Films are back!

Life of Pi is the next film to screen at the SJT.

We also have our first live streaming event on Monday 27 May at 6.45pm. This will be Rossini’s opera La donna del lago, streamed live from the Royal Opera House in London.

June films will be announced very soon!

Make your voice heard!

My Theatre Matters! is a campaign organised by Equity, The Stage, and the Theatrical Management Association, aimed at supporting local theatres across the UK.

The most immediate serious threat to theatres in the UK is significant cuts in Local Government funding. Local Authorities are under extreme pressure and are being faced with extremely hard choices, but it is imperative that they understand how much their voters value their local theatre.

We are asking you to do two things:

1. Send a postcard to your Council Leader saying how much they value the Council’s investment in their local theatre. We have postcards near the Box Office and by the Restaurant, and they can be downloaded from mytheatrematters.com.

2. Sign up on the My Theatre Matters! campaign website with your email address and postcode so that you can be contacted in the future about issues in your own area, further afield or nationally.

Thank you in advance for your help.
