About
With nearly 90 full-length plays under his belt, Alan Ayckbourn's expertise in writing and directing plays is unsurpassed.
He generously shared some of the tricks of his trade in a ground-breaking book, The Crafty Art of Playmaking, written in his usual entertaining and accessible style and with plenty of anecdotes to illustrate his helpful hints on tricky subjects like getting started, carrying on, working with actors and technicians, knowing when to listen to others, and coping with rehearsals.
Now, for the first time, you can experience The Crafty Art of Playmaking live on stage as Alan is joined by two of his favourite actors to discuss the book and demonstrate some of his top tips.
