The SJT runs three different choirs – Young Voices, Global Voices and Funky Choir – and is host to another: WEA Acapella Singing for Wellbeing. Each performs its own specialist style, including current pop, blues, world music, funk and disco.

They are all non-auditioned community groups led by professional Musical Directors. Studies show that singing releases endorphins which reduce stress and anxiety levels and contribute to a positive mental state.

Choir Night is a celebration of their work, an informal evening of joyful song accompanied by some of Scarborough’s finest musicians.
